Samhain or All Souls day?

Did you know the origin of Halloween has a colourful history. It is believed that in the early Celtic culture, this time of the year signaled the begging of the dark parts of the year and the ending of the light part of the year. It was believed that the spirits of the dead and of fairies can cross over and visit loved ones or cause harm depending on their preference. The costumes was originally to disguise yourself from the spirits so they would not harm you.
